Just Do The Right Thing
I am just plain fed up with corporate greed, government corruption and our country's growing liberalism disease! This is not to say that conservatives should be unscathed by all of this. Afterall, we also have too many so called conservatives who spend like Vegas high rollers, dismiss financial regulation all together or at least do not insist strongly enough in favor of it, come across to many as dispassionate and greedy, place a higher priority on money than they do people, are in bed with special interest groups and lobbyists and might just sell your job to China, India or Russia if the price is right and could care less if our borders are wide open so that god knows who can walk across as a path to citizenship or simply go back and forth trading in everything from guns to drugs. I could go on and on but some of you might actually think I am a liberal if I do and I am anything but. I Just wanted to get my frustrations with the GOP, you know the lesser of the two evils out there.
Democrats will never admitt the true challenges they face or the mistakes they make because one thing I have come to learn is that at the foundation of thier culture is rationalization. Looking at an issue from the standpoint of how many people will benefit as apposed to how many people will be hurt by it allows them to see everything from a perspective of buying votes. One would be hard pressed to find one of thier special spending programs, mandates, special interest laws ect. where although some feel as though they were "helped" so many more were hurt. We can never really expect them to do the right thing unless it happens to line up with increasing votes and in good governance it often doesn't. Giving a group special rights that impedes the rights of others can never be truly reconciled! Unborn babies for example don't vote!
Handling terrorism in Iraq first may have been debatable but we went, we are succeeding and many millions in the heart of the middle east will now enjoy the benefits of democracy for the first time. Americans are also safer. This my fellow Democrats is a good thing!! Albeit it's time they start repaying some of the costs and it would also be nice if we could be proud of the fact that thier basic needs are being addressed ie: garbage, sewer, electric ect. better than under the rule of thier previous dictator. Get it together babyboomers in power and get the job done.
Put 150,000 troops as an excercise on the Iran border and within two weeks we will no longer have a nuclear threat or any of thier pests coming over the border. Right now we are showing them the weekest cards we have while demanding that they give up thier ace card-what a joke-get some balls!! Once they have a nuclear bomb, all bets are off. We will not attack them and they know this. The time to handle this is now!!
Also, build the gosh darn wall to our south and hold all illegal aliens financially responsible for its construction in exchange for a simpler path to citizenship-we are a nation of laws enforce them!!
Simplify our healthcare system and remove wastes without getting the government involved in running the darn thing. Americans want to have or be able to afford decent healthcare and I think many democrats rightfully so advocate this. Technology could play a critical role in this.
Vote yourselve's a twenty percent pay decrease you deserve it for your handling of "our" government for the past twenty years!! Pass laws requiring that no politician be allowed to make money in a private sector position or investment while serving the greater interests of the American people.
Ease the burdens of American home owners, 90% of whom pay more than 40% of thier income on housing and 70% pay more than 50% of thier earnings, by enticing private lenders to provide 40 and 50 year mortgages. The benefits to our economy would be tremendous as home prices would stabilize and debt to income ratios for housing would drop thereby freeing up demand for capital while the fed could stimulate the economy-everyone wins!!
Remove teachers unions all together. Increase teachers salaries by 30 to 40% but after attracting the best and the brightest to these occupations hold them highly accountable and easy to remove if neccessary!! These teachers should be highly profficient in Science and Math (be able to compete) if our children are going to be able to compete period...
Greenhouse gasses? I don't really know. I have seen just as much evidence to suggest that it is a real problem as I have that it is the biggest Globalist vision hoax. My thoughts-what if we are wrong? Would it hurt to have non fossel fuel burning automobiles instead of those gass guzzlers? Although I might miss the smell of those toxic fumes I think with current technolgies pushing the two to three hundred miles to the gallon range I could easily live with out them.
Woodstockers, start investing in a better electrical grid to handle these plug-ins and give these promising startups a fast track so Americans can start benefitting from 200mpg+ affordably. Come on people we have some serious work to do!
All that said why can't they just do the right thing?
